ST-R7025 Dual Control Lever

The ST-R7025-R integrates shifting and hydraulic braking into a single, ergonomically shaped lever. The compact reach design shortens the distance from the handlebar to the lever blade, making it easier for riders with smaller hands to maintain control on the hoods without stretching. Shimano's OptiSlick inner cable and OT-SP41 compatible outer casing ensure crisp, low-friction gear changes through up to 2 simultaneous rear shifts. Lever body materials are resin and steel, and the clamp band suits standard 23.8–24.2 mm drop handlebar diameters. Shimano mineral oil hydraulic fluid is used throughout, keeping the system compatible with the full 105 bleeding and hose ecosystem.

BR-R7070 Front Hydraulic Caliper

The BR-R7070-F is a slim flat mount caliper engineered for road disc frames and forks. Its aluminium body houses dual ceramic pistons for smooth, consistent pad actuation with low system weight. The caliper ships with L02A ICE Technologies resin pads, which use a three-layer clad rotor design (stainless/aluminium/stainless) to dissipate heat during sustained descents — compatible rotors start from 140 mm. Optional K04S metal pads and L04C metal cooling pads are also supported. Hose routing uses the SM-BH90-JK-SSR or SM-BH90-J-SSR hose kits with a straight hose joint.

Compatibility & Fit

This lever and caliper combination is designed for Shimano 105 R7000 hydraulic disc road builds. The ST-R7025-R pairs with 11-speed road derailleurs and cassettes (Shimano HG 11-speed). Front caliper mount type is flat mount — verify your fork accepts flat mount before purchasing. Recommended front rotor: SM-RT70 (140 mm or 160 mm). Handlebar clamp diameter: 23.8–24.2 mm. Hose and brake fluid sold separately; Shimano mineral oil is required (do not use DOT fluid).
