SKU code: RFX-RC2735-580
Tallac Clip BOA is Ride Concepts' lightweight clipless trail shoe, closed with a dial you can fine-tune without stopping. It's built for cross-country and trail riding, with a breathable stitch-free Cordura upper and a supportive, vibration-dampening midsole.
Highlights
- PerformFit Wrap from the BOA Fit System with an Li2 dial for a micro-adjustable fit
- ClipGrip rubber outsole with reverse hex relief at the toe and heel
- 40 mm long cleat box with index markings and an extended cleat pocket runway
- Integrated D3O top-of-foot pads and a D3O High Impact Zone Technology insole
- 506 g per shoe (men's US 9)
Dial-in fit
The PerformFit Wrap from the BOA Fit System is designed to improve power transfer and efficiency while giving a precise, micro-adjustable fit. The Li2 dial tightens and loosens in both directions on low-friction textile laces, so you can tweak it mid-ride. A fully gusseted tongue keeps the fit snug and stops it shifting, and a heel pull tab makes the shoe easy to get on.
Clipless setup
The ClipGrip rubber outsole is tuned so nothing gets in the way when you clip in and out, while still giving traction when you're hiking. A 40 mm long cleat box with index markings and an extended cleat pocket runway gives plenty of fore-aft room to place your cleat, and an RC PowerDrive nylon shank drives power and keeps the sole laterally stiff. Ride Concepts notes the stiff sole is made for pedalling, so it handles short hike-a-bike sections but isn't meant for casual walking or long hikes. Integrated D3O pads guard the top of your foot, a TPU mud guard protects the upper, and an EVA midsole with a D3O High Impact Zone Technology insole absorbs impact. An anti-bacterial mesh lining controls odour.
