Shimano Alivio RD-M3100-SGS 9-speed rear derailleur

A tough, low-profile 9-speed rear derailleur for trail and commuter bikes. The Shadow design tucks the derailleur in closer to the wheel, so it is less exposed to rocks, kerbs and the ground when the bike goes over.

Capacity

Total capacity is 45T with a maximum low sprocket of 36T, which covers most wide-range 9-speed double and triple setups.

Compatibility and fit

For Shimano 9-speed mountain bike drivetrains, paired with a 9-speed shifter and chain. Confirm your cassette's largest sprocket is 36T or smaller and that your front and rear gearing falls within the 45T total capacity. Fits a standard derailleur hanger; if your frame uses a direct-mount hanger, check before ordering.

Covered by Shimano's standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear is excluded — jockey wheels, pivots, bushings and the cage wear with use, and crash damage, bent hangers, gear cable damage and damage from incorrect adjustment are not covered.
