Built for eMTB torque, the Praxis MTN E-Ring trades alloy's light weight for steel's wear life, so you swap rings less often. It suits 4-bolt 104BCD eMTB spiders, and its threaded bolt holes take M8 bolts directly for extra motor clearance.

Why steel on an eMTB
Motor power and torque wear chainrings faster than legs alone. Praxis makes this ring from case-hardened steel specifically for eMTBs and recommends it over its alloy 104BCD rings on eBikes. It isn't recommended for non-assisted bikes, where the lighter alloy ring makes more sense.
Setup notes
The ring mounts with male M8 chainring bolts, which aren't included. Fit it with the Praxis logo facing outward. Use a clutch rear derailleur, and an upper chain guide is recommended in rough terrain. Praxis reference weights: 32T 109 g, 34T 132 g, 36T 150 g.
Fitting
Fitting is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. The Tune workshop can measure your spider to confirm it's 104BCD, fit the ring with the right M8 bolts, and check chain length and chainline.
Compatibility & fit
- 4-bolt 104BCD eMTB spiders. Measure first: it won't fit the smaller 94BCD pattern.
- 10-12-speed KMC, Shimano and SRAM chains, regular, Flattop or T-Type.
- Shimano mechanical or Di2; SRAM mechanical or wireless.
- Needs male M8 chainring bolts (sold separately).
- Not recommended for non-assisted bikes.

Praxis warrants its components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date, for the original owner. Normal wear and tear isn't covered, and for chainrings Praxis lists tooth wear and the anodised or coated finish wearing off as wear. Damage from crashes, impact, incorrect installation (including the wrong tools) or modification is also excluded.
This cover is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Keep your proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Praxis's Australian distributor.
