Sized for XC, trail and enduro
5DEV cuts the ring in sizes it sees as the sweet spot for cross-country, trail and enduro riding, for any 8-bolt direct mount crank.
Fitting
Fitting is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. On most cranks a direct mount ring swap means taking the drive-side arm off. The Tune workshop can fit the ring with the right tools, torque the eight bolts to 5DEV's spec (4 Nm in a star pattern) and check your chainline and shifting.
Compatibility & fit
- Mount: 8-bolt direct mount, including SRAM 8-bolt crank arm assemblies (5DEV says any 8-bolt direct mount crank).
- Offset: 3 mm.
- Chain: SRAM T-Type, and SRAM or Shimano 11 and 12-speed.
- Chainline depends on your crank and spindle; ask us to check.

5DEV backs its products with a limited 5-year warranty from the date of manufacture, covering defects in materials and workmanship. If 5DEV finds a failure was caused by such a defect, it replaces the affected product with a comparable model. The warranty is void if a part from another manufacturer or retailer is used in place of the 5DEV component, so talk to us before replacing anything.
This cover is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Keep your proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with 5DEV's Australian distributor.
