A narrow/wide 1x ring for drop-bar bikes that see mud, gravel and loose fire trails. The DM1X bolts straight to a 3-bolt direct mount road or gravel crank with no separate spider, and its alternating tooth profile keeps the chain on when the surface gets rough.

Chainline and offset
The DM1X has a 6 mm offset. On a Praxis direct mount road crank that gives a 45.5 mm (CX1) chainline; on Praxis's DM "GR" gravel cranks it gives 48 mm for gravel 1x groups. On another brand's crank the chainline depends on that crank, so check it against your drivetrain, or ask us, before you order.
Setup notes
Praxis requires a clutch rear derailleur with this ring and recommends an upper chain guide on rough terrain or for extra security. Praxis reference weights: 36T 94 g, 42T 110 g, 48T 166 g.
Fitting
Fitting is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. The ring mounts with three T25 Torx bolts at 9 Nm on a clean, greased interface. The Tune workshop can swap the ring, check chainline and chain length for the new size, and set up your clutch derailleur.
Compatibility & fit
- Road, gravel and cyclocross cranks with the 3-bolt direct mount interface, including all Praxis road and gravel DM cranks.
- Shimano Di2 and mechanical, and SRAM electronic and mechanical, 10/11/12-speed.
- Not compatible with Campagnolo 11/12/13-speed chains.
- Clutch rear derailleur required.

Praxis warrants its components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date, for the original owner. Normal wear and tear isn't covered, and for chainrings Praxis lists tooth wear and the anodised or coated finish wearing off as wear. Damage from crashes, impact, incorrect installation (including the wrong tools) or modification is also excluded.
This cover is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Keep your proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Praxis's Australian distributor.
