Details

FSA's Megatooth rings use long, alternating thick and thin teeth that fill the chain's inner and outer link gaps, which holds the chain on a 1x drivetrain without a chain guide. A direct-mount ring bolts or locks straight onto the crank with no separate spider.

Fit and compatibility

It fits FSA Afterburner modular cranks. Direct-mount rings are specific to the crank's interface, so check your crank model first. It's set up for Shimano 12-speed chains. 38T gives a taller gear for faster trails, flatter terrain or stronger legs.

Fitting

Swap chainrings with the right tool and torque the bolts or lockring to the figure FSA gives for your crank. A new ring is also a good time to check chain wear, because a worn chain will skip on fresh teeth.
