The EVO GR4 is Hope's gravity brake and the successor to the Tech 4 V4: maximum power with no compromise, for enduro, downhill and e-bikes. The one-piece caliper carries larger pistons (two 18 mm and two 17 mm) for more power and is stiffer, with a larger adjustment range for third-party hubs and frames and a slimmer bore-cap design for frame clearance. Tech EVO lever: longer lever hook for control under hard braking, dimpled blade for grip in all weathers, new cam that shortens the free stroke while keeping Hope's feel and modulation, roller-bearing main pivot, two guide bushes on the master-cylinder piston, bleed port on the body, tool-free bite-point and reach adjusters, hinged clamp.
This listing is the front brake with the right-hand lever - one complete brake: lever, 2 m black hose (cut to length at fitting), caliper and Hope racing-compound pads, fully bled. Rotors: 1.8 to 2.3 mm only - Hope's Floating (6-bolt or Centre Lock) and Fixed rotors. Hope states the GR4 is not compatible with the 3.3 mm Vented rotor. Hope recommends 200 mm and larger for gravity use; a rotor larger than the mount's native size needs the matching Hope brake mount. Fluid: DOT 5.1 (DOT 4 compatible). Pads: the V4 / GR4 / TR4 pad (HBSP303).
Hope Technology covers its disc brake systems for two years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship (proof of purchase required). Brake pads and rotors are wear items. Return the product to Tune Cycles and we manage the claim with Hope's Australian distributor on your behalf.
