The EVO is Hope's benchmark aluminium mountain bike crank – lighter and stiffer than the model it replaced, developed with FEA analysis, lab testing and plenty of field testing, and made in Barnoldswick. This version comes with the 68/73mm axle and no spider, ready for the chainring setup you choose.

Lighter and stiffer

Hope's 2019 update made the EVO about 15% lighter and stiffer than its predecessor. Weight starts from 560g for a 170mm crank including the axle.

Choose your chainring setup

The spline mount takes Hope spiderless retainer chainrings from 28T to 36T (9 to 12 speed), or a Hope spider: single 104 BCD or double 64/104 BCD, each with room for a bash guard. The spider is not included with this crankset.

Compatibility & fit

The 68/73mm axle suits threaded 68mm and 73mm bottom bracket shells with a Hope 30mm bottom bracket. Check Hope's EVO BB compatibility, chainline and clearance charts for your frame. Fitting is a separate Tune Cycles workshop service, not included in the price – book at tunecycles.com.au/book.

Hope Technology covers its components for two years from the original date of purchase against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship; damage from normal wear, misuse or not following Hope's recommendations isn't covered. For warranty support, return the item to Tune Cycles with your proof of purchase and we'll manage the claim for you. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
