Podium is built to be ridden like a downhill fork while keeping your bike in a familiar single-crown travel and geometry range. Its inverted chassis approaches the stiffness of a Fox 40, so your front wheel holds its line at race speed.

Highlights

  • Inverted single-crown chassis with 47mm upper tubes and a massive crown
  • Custom-tuned GRIP X2 damper with extra compression support
  • Custom steel 20 x 110mm Boost axle for torsional stiffness
  • FLOAT EVOL GlideCore air spring and Genuine Kashima Coat
  • 160mm or 170mm of travel, 58mm or 68mm crown

Inverted, without the flex

Inverted forks have no arch, so torsional stiffness has always been the challenge. Fox solved it with a custom steel 20 x 110mm Boost axle, verified in blind testing by its engineers and athletes. Oversized 47mm upper tubes and a massive crown give huge fore-aft rigidity, and the chassis stiffness approaches that of a Fox 40.

Custom GRIP X2 and GlideCore

Podium's GRIP X2 is tuned for more compression support to suit the low-friction chassis, so the fork rides higher in its travel and corners with more traction. It offers 8 clicks of high-speed compression, 18 of low-speed compression, 8 of high-speed rebound and 16 of low-speed rebound. The GlideCore air spring moves with the fork under load to reduce friction and fatigue.

Fitting and Fox service

Fork installation is a separate workshop service and isn't included. As an authorised Fox service centre, our Marrickville workshop can fit the fork to your bike (steerer cut, crown race and star nut), set sag and damping for your weight and riding, and look after its scheduled Fox servicing from there.

Compatibility & fit

For 29in wheels with a front hub made for a 20 x 110mm Boost axle, and a 1.5in tapered steerer. Offset is 44mm. Both crowns work with all head tube sizes; Fox suggests the 68mm crown for bikes with a larger-diameter head tube and the 58mm crown otherwise, for the neatest fit. Brakes are 200mm post mount direct, up to 230mm rotors with the right adapter. Maximum tyre size is 29 x 2.6in. Fox rates Podium for EN 17406 category 5 use with a maximum system weight of 169kg, and lists it as compatible with Class 3, L1e-A and L1e-B e-bikes.

Sizes & options

Three versions. Travel and crown size change from one to the next; everything else is shared.
