Why XD-15 in a headset

XD-15 is the same material Enduro uses for its ceramic-hybrid hub and bottom bracket bearings, but here the balls are stainless rather than ceramic. Enduro says steel balls give better impact resistance in the hammering a headset takes, and its own testing has run XD-15 bearings in salt water for months without corrosion.

Built to last

Every Enduro angular contact headset bearing is engineered around the largest balls that will fit, so the load is shared across a larger contact area for lower friction and less wear. Dual-lip seals sit in a micro-groove to form a labyrinth, and a 90% fill of waterproof grease keeps the elements out.

Compatibility & fit

Replaces internal angular contact headset bearings of 30.2mm ID x 41mm OD x 6.5mm width with a 36/45° contact angle in 1-1/8" headsets. Enduro lists this size as also known by the part numbers 27287-1046-004, HSS0130K, TH-873E and MR-122. Match the size and angles of your old bearing before ordering. Our workshop can press in a new headset bearing for you. Fitting is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price.
