Rim and aerodynamics

Built with Campagnolo's H.U.L.C. (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon) process, the drop-shaped C23 rim has a 23 mm internal width and 28.4 mm external width. Aero Mo-Mag hides the self-locking aluminium nipples inside the rim on fibreglass-reinforced polymer seats, so the 2-Way Fit rim bed has no spoke holes and runs tubeless without rim tape. Campagnolo builds the rims with a single joint rather than the usual four.

Hubs, spokes and build

21 Aero Elliptical straight-pull, double-butted 1.5 mm spokes are laced in Campagnolo's G3 groups-of-three pattern. The hubs run CULT ceramic cup-and-cone bearings, the front hub has a carbon body, and both use 12 mm aluminium thru-axles and Campagnolo's AFS disc rotor interface. Every wheel is hand-assembled by a Campagnolo technician and checked electronically. Campagnolo quotes 1325 g for the wheelset.

Compatibility & fit

Disc brake only, for 12 mm thru-axle frames and forks with 100 mm front and 142 mm rear spacing. Rotors mount with AFS lockrings. The N3W freehub body takes Campagnolo 13-speed cassettes directly. N3W versions come with Campagnolo's N3W adapter, and Campagnolo's N3W compatibility table sets out what's needed to run 11- and 12-speed Campagnolo cassettes. Campagnolo recommends 700c tyres from 28 to 35 mm. Check tyre and pressure combinations against Campagnolo's rim-tyre-pressure table.

Covered by Campagnolo's limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of retail sale, for the first retail purchaser with proof of purchase. Normal wear and tear, accidents, improper assembly or maintenance, and use with components Campagnolo doesn't list as compatible are not covered. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Campagnolo's Australian distributor.
