Lights and a front brake that run in all weather: this 20" front wheel is built on Sturmey-Archer's X-FDD, a hub dynamo with a 70 mm drum brake inside the same shell.

The hub. Sturmey-Archer lists the X-FDD as: front hub dynamo with a 70 mm drum brake; 6 V dynamo, built by Sturmey-Archer in 3.0 W (HDS73T) and 2.4 W (HDS72T) versions; A356 aluminium hub shell; sealed cartridge bearings; hub weight 1220 g.
Fit. It needs a fork with 100 mm front spacing and takes a nutted axle. The drum brake needs a brake lever and cable, and the dynamo needs lights made for a 6 V hub dynamo.

Sturmey-Archer and the rim maker don't publish consumer warranty terms we can quote for this build. The wheel is covered against defects in materials and manufacture. Normal wear, crash or impact damage and misuse are not covered. If you have a problem, return the item to Tune Cycles with your proof of purchase and we'll manage the claim.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
