Shimano WH-MT500 29" Centre Lock rear wheel, quick release
A robust 29" trail wheel that gets on with the job. The wider 24C rim supports a mountain bike tyre properly for better shape and traction, and the labyrinth-sealed hub keeps water and grit out of the bearings through wet Sydney winters.

Built for the trail
Shimano designed this wheel around durability rather than the lightest possible build, which makes it a sensible replacement or upgrade for a hardtail or trail bike that gets ridden hard and serviced rather than babied.
Compatibility and fit
Rear wheel only, sold individually. Fits 29" frames with 135 mm quick-release rear spacing — it will not fit a thru-axle frame. Disc brake only, using a Centre Lock rotor. Cassette, rotor, tyre, tube and rim tape are not included.
If you are not sure whether your frame is quick release or thru-axle, ask Tune Cycles before you order.
Covered by Shimano's standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear is excluded — bearing surfaces, freehub pawls and spokes wear with use, and damage from impacts, crashes, incorrect spoke tension or riding a wheel out of true is not covered.
Warranty claims and returns go through Tune Cycles. Contact us with your order number, we will assess the wheel and handle the claim with the distributor on your behalf.
