Why the updated adapters

From 2020, some frames changed their thru-axle interface and don't sit correctly on KICKR v3-v5 or KICKR CORE with the original adapters. Wahoo's updated set fixes this. Known affected bikes include all Cervelo disc frames, Giant Propel and TCR Disc 2021+, Trek Domane and Madone 2020+, Trek Checkpoint Carbon, Emonda and Top Fuel 2021+, Lauf Siegla and True Grit, Rondo Ruut AL2 2021+ and Ventum thru-axle frames. Keep your original adapters for 148 mm and QR bikes.

Installation

The new lock nut is installed behind the cassette, so you'll need a chain whip, cassette lockring tool and 14 and 17 mm cone wrenches. Use the longer lock nut with Shimano HG or Campagnolo freehub bodies and the shorter one with the XDR body. We can fit it in the workshop as a separate service.

Compatibility & fit

Compatible with KICKR CORE, KICKR MOVE and KICKR v4 (2018) and newer. Not compatible with KICKR v3 (2017), KICKR SNAP or KICKR ROLLR.

Wahoo warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser, under normal use, for one year from the original date of purchase (Wahoo limited warranty, Australia). Damage from misuse, accidents, excess moisture, power surges or unauthorised modification is not covered. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Wahoo's Australian distributor.
