The Protocol RCG-4 is SILCA's off-grid gravel tyre for sloppy mud, sand and loose rock. Aggressive, widely spaced lugs shed sticky loam and mud, and full bead-to-bead protection means you can tackle singletrack and off-camber rock without worrying about sidewall tears.

Built to shed mud

Intentional knob spacing stops dirt and loam packing together and caking the tyre. Where other tyres clog and lose traction, the RCG-4 flings mud away for reliable bite and uninterrupted momentum.

Enhanced protection

Wider, taller knobs put more rubber between the casing and the rocks, and the sidewall carries an added layer of protection. It bridges adventurous gravel racing and mixed trail terrain, from singletrack to rough unsealed roads.

Protocol tyre technology

The Pulsar compound is SILCA's rubber and silica race compound, built to keep rolling efficiency, grip and durability in balance. The Race Casing is developed around modern tyre pressures, so the tyre keeps its shape and ride quality at the pressures wide rims actually run.

Compatibility & fit

700c (622mm bead seat) tubeless-ready gravel tyre. Widths are measured by SILCA on a 25mm rim after 24 hours; check frame and fork clearance, remembering mud needs extra room. Tubeless set-up is a separate Tune Cycles workshop service and is not included.
