Protection

The Scorcher combines a 3 mm layer of high-elastic rubber with a heavy-duty casing. The casing is 22 TPI; Freedom notes that lower TPI gives better puncture, cut and abrasion resistance at the cost of some weight.

Tread

A wedge-shaped tread with extra-deep grooves is built to last. The textured outer tread and water exit channels help it grip on wet roads, so it suits all conditions on urban surfaces, and Freedom says it rides comfortably with low rolling resistance.

Compatibility & fit

This tyre is sized 700 x 35c. Match it to the size moulded into your current tyre's sidewall: tyres for different wheel diameters aren't interchangeable, and the width needs to suit your rim and frame clearance. It has a wire bead, so it doesn't fold. Freedom doesn't list it as tubeless-ready, so plan to run it with an inner tube. Fitting and puncture repair are workshop services and aren't included in the price. Our workshop can fit your new tyres and check the tubes and rim tape while the wheels are out.
