Mountain bike cleats have traditionally been mild steel or brass: heavy, and often quick to wear. SILCA 3D prints its cleats in 6Al/4V titanium with an internal gyroid lattice that keeps them stiff and strong while cutting the weight of a cleat set in half.

Highlights

  • 3D-printed 6Al/4V titanium with gyroid lattice structure
  • About half the weight of a standard cleat set
  • Titanium hardware included
  • 4x the life expectancy of brass
  • 3D printed in Indianapolis

Lighter where you feel it

Saving 25-30g per cleat set is significant over time, and it's most noticeable in cyclocross and any race where you're running with the bike.

Fitting notes

SILCA says torque up to 10Nm is acceptable (the packaging states 6Nm) and may be needed on very hard carbon soles. Grease the threads and under the screw heads, and re-tighten after 24 hours or your first ride, as the cleat can bed into the sole.
