Bearing & Sealing

The HB-M9110 uses Shimano's traditional cup-and-cone bearing system with ground steel races. Labyrinth seals create a tortuous path that prevents contaminant ingress without the drag penalty of heavy contact seals alone; a secondary contact seal adds a final barrier. The result is a hub that rolls cleanly and remains serviceable with standard Shimano cone spanners — unlike cartridge-bearing hubs, worn components can be individually replaced rather than replaced as a unit.

Axle: 15mm E-THRU thru-axle. Over-locknut dimension (O.L.D.): 110mm Boost. Rotor mount: Centrelock (lock-ring included). Spoke holes: 28H, J-bend (standard bend). Compatible with all Centrelock disc rotors. Suits Boost 110 fork dropout standards. Not compatible with standard 100mm O.L.D. forks without an adaptor.
