Construction

The WH-MT500 rim is a clincher profile measuring 24mm internally and 29.6mm externally, with a sleeve-jointed construction and a 21mm height. The wheel is laced with 24 J-bend stainless steel spokes to a hub equipped with Shimano's proven cup-and-cone bearing system. Labyrinth and contact seals on both hub and freehub protect the internals from trail grime and water ingress, keeping maintenance intervals practical for regular riders.
