BL-M9220 Lever

The BL-M9220 lever has been engineered around the natural arc of the human hand. The pivot point is positioned closer to the bars, reducing the effort required for a full power pull, while the 5° upswept blade keeps your finger in a powerful position on steep terrain. Tool-free reach adjustment lets you fine-tune lever position on the trail. I-SPEC EV compatibility keeps your cockpit tidy when paired with Shimano XTR Di2 shifters.

BR-M9220 4-Piston Caliper

The BR-M9220 is the most powerful caliper in the XTR M9200 family. Its dual-diameter opposed 4-piston layout delivers exceptional stopping force while the redesigned SERVO WAVE mechanism fine-tunes the power curve for linear, predictable modulation. The caliper body is machined for stiffness and low weight, and pairs with both resin and metal pad options to suit your conditions.

Low Viscosity Mineral Oil

This kit uses Shimano's new low viscosity mineral oil — required for all 2025+ XTR brake systems. The thinner formulation flows more freely through the caliper pistons, ensuring a consistent, firm bite point whether you are riding in the cold of a winter morning or the heat of a long summer descent. Note: this fluid is not backward compatible with previous generation Shimano mineral oil systems.

Compatibility & Fit

Designed for use with Shimano XTR M9200 series groupsets. The kit includes a 1000mm front hose and a 1700mm rear hose to suit most trail and enduro frame geometries. Compatible rotors include the Shimano RT-CL900 and RT-MT905 (sold separately). Lever clamp is standard 22.2mm bar diameter. Caliper mount is post mount. Must be used with Shimano Low Viscosity Mineral Oil — do not mix with standard Shimano mineral oil.
