Construction

The WH-MT600 rim is machined from aluminium with a welded joint construction and a 21mm rim height. The hub shell runs labyrinth and contact seals to keep water and grit out of the bearings across muddy and wet conditions. Stainless steel butted spokes are laced 2-cross to the rear hub, striking a practical balance between lateral stiffness and ride compliance.

Rear axle: 12x142mm thru-axle (standard spacing, non-Boost). Freehub: Shimano HG splined, compatible with 8-, 9-, 10-, and 11-speed Shimano MTB cassettes. Brake mount: Centre-Lock disc. Recommended tyre sizes: 29x2.00"–2.40". Spoke count: 24H. This wheel is not compatible with Boost (148mm) frames.
