Ultegra R8000 11-speed shifting for a rim-brake road bike

Shimano's Ultegra R8000 mechanical drivetrain is still the benchmark for cable-actuated 11-speed road shifting: crisp, light and easy to keep tuned. This kit pairs the full R8000 drivetrain with microSHIFT Centos 11 drop-bar levers, which use Shimano's 11-speed road cable pull and standard road-caliper pull, so every part in the box works together on a rim-brake frame. Build it up as a complete 2x11 groupset, or leave out the parts you already own.

Getting the pairing right

The RD-R8000-GS medium cage is rated by Shimano for 11-28T through 11-34T cassettes, which covers every option from the 11-28 to the CS-HG800 11-34. The front derailleur mount must match your frame: a braze-on tab, a 31.8 or 28.6 mm seat tube, or a 34.9 mm seat tube. Calipers and the bottom bracket are optional because an upgrade of an existing bike usually keeps them.

Shimano components carry Shimano's standard manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship; microSHIFT components carry microSHIFT's manufacturer warranty on the same basis. Normal wear (chain, cassette, chainrings, brake pads), incorrect installation, crash damage and modification are excluded.

Warranty claims and returns go through Tune Cycles: contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will assess the part and handle the claim with the distributor on your behalf.
