Compatibility & fit
This is the right-hand (rear) shifter for a 10-speed setup, controlling the rear derailleur. It is designed to work within Shimano's Tiagra 4700 series and pairs with a Tiagra 4700 series 10-speed rear derailleur. It mounts to 22.2 mm diameter flat handlebars via a clamp band. Tiagra 4700 series shifters use their own cable pull and should be matched with 4700 series derailleurs rather than other 10-speed road groups. If you are unsure about matching to your existing drivetrain, contact us before ordering.
This Shimano Tiagra SL-4700 shifter is covered by Shimano's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. The warranty does not cover normal wear, crash damage, improper installation, or damage from misuse or lack of maintenance.
