The Shimano STEPS EC-EN814 is a dedicated 4A battery charger designed for the BT-EN817 frame-integrated e-bike battery. With wide-voltage input compatibility and a proven second-generation battery management system, it delivers reliable, controlled charging at home or in the workshop — without needing to remove the battery from the frame.

Charging System

The EC-EN814 outputs 42 V DC at 4 A, matched precisely to the BT-EN817's charging requirements. Connect directly through an EW-CP111 satellite charging port for tool-free on-bike charging. If your frame uses an EW-CP110 port, the SM-BTE81 adapter (sold separately) is required. The SM-BCC1 AC power cable is not included and must be purchased separately to complete the charging setup.

Compatibility & Fit

Compatible exclusively with the Shimano STEPS BT-EN817 712 Wh frame-integrated battery and compatible third-party range extender batteries. Designed for use with Shimano STEPS EP8 and EN-series e-bike drive systems. On-bike charging requires the EW-CP111 satellite charging port. Use with EW-CP110 requires the SM-BTE81 adapter (sold separately). AC power cable SM-BCC1 is sold separately.
