Performance & Efficiency

The DU-E6100 uses a brushless mid-drive motor positioned at the crank (midship) to keep weight central and low. A 20% increase in motor efficiency over the E6000 generation means more kilometres per charge. Three assist modes — HIGH, NORMAL and ECO — let riders tune the level of support to conditions and battery needs. When paired with a compatible Di2 internal geared hub, the system supports full-automatic shifting that adapts to cadence and speed for a seamless ride.

Design & Integration

The compact motor housing mirrors the geometry of a conventional bottom bracket, allowing frame designers to maintain standard bike proportions. The short rear-centre design improves handling agility, while the same bolt-pattern as the STEPS E8000 MTB unit ensures broad frame compatibility. Cable terminals are accessible without removing the chainring or chain case. Firmware can be updated and assist characteristics fine-tuned via the E-TUBE PROJECT software.
