Construction & Technology

The FC-CX50 uses Shimano's Hollowtech II two-piece crank system, where the right crank arm integrates with a 24mm steel axle. This design eliminates weight without sacrificing the rigidity demanded in competitive cyclocross. The five-arm 110mm BCD aluminium spider accepts standard 46/36T chainrings and is paired with Hyperdrive SG-X chainring profiling to ensure consistent chain retention across mud-laden shifts.
