HOLLOWTECH II & Hollowglide Technology

Shimano's HOLLOWTECH II system integrates a 24mm hardened steel spindle into the drive-side crank arm, moving the bearing outboard for a wider stance and stiffer power path. The non-drive arm slots onto the spindle via a precise spline-and-notch engagement for secure, repeatable fit. Asymmetric 4-Arm Spider
