The PD-T8000 uses Shimano's proven SPD (Shimano Pedaling Dynamics) system with a recessed two-bolt cleat that keeps mud clear and lets you walk normally in cycling shoes. The forged alloy body is tough enough for trail use while remaining light enough for long-distance touring. A chrome-moly cartridge axle pairs with sealed cup and cone bearings for a smooth, serviceable platform that holds up across thousands of kilometres.

Compatibility & Fit

Compatible with standard 9/16" crank threads. Includes SM-SH56 multi-release cleats; compatible with SM-SH51 single-release cleats (sold separately). Suitable for two-bolt SPD cycling shoes. The adjustable release tension makes them accessible for beginner clip-in riders while still performing at the XT standard.
