The RD-M6250-SGS pairs Shimano Di2 intelligence with the durability of the Deore platform. Shifts are triggered wirelessly by the SW-M6250-IR shifter, which uses CR1632 coin cells to send commands via Bluetooth and ANT+. Single-click mode and hold-to-multi-shift modes are both available, and can be configured through the Shimano E-TUBE PROJECT app alongside the programmable third button. Pairing is simple — scan the QR code on the derailleur or complete setup entirely through the app.

Trail-Ready Durability

The derailleur body features a SHADOW ES design — a low-profile, impact-deflecting wedge shape with a steel plate and enclosed 13T solid pulleys that resist debris ingestion. The Automatic Impact Recovery function detects deflection caused by a knock and instantly resets the cage to its correct position, so you keep shifting cleanly even after a rock strike. Dual-spring tension keeps the chain stable in low gears without a separate clutch mechanism.

Compatibility & Fit

This kit upgrades any Shimano MTB 12-speed mechanical drivetrain to wireless Di2. It is compatible with Shimano 12-speed cassettes from Deore M6100/M6200, SLX M7100, Deore XT M8100/M8200, and XTR M9100/M9200. Chains from the same families (SM-CN910-12 quick-link included) are also compatible. The I-SPEC EV shifter mounts to I-SPEC EV compatible brake levers; it is not compatible with I-SPEC II or bar-clamp mounts. The derailleur uses a standard direct-mount or long-cage hanger. Firmware updates and multi-shift customisation are managed via the free Shimano E-TUBE PROJECT app (iOS and Android).
