Wide-range 8-speed gearing

The 11-45T spread is a big jump in climbing range over traditional 8-speed cassettes, making it well suited to mountain bikes, hardtails, e-bikes and commuters that need an easier bottom gear without moving to a more expensive group.

Hyperglide performance

Compatibility & fit

Designed for 8-speed Shimano Hyperglide drivetrains and the standard Shimano HG (HG-M) freehub spline used on the majority of cassette wheels. When fitted to a 9/10/11-speed HG freehub body, a 1mm spacer is required behind the cassette to set correct spacing. Pair with an 8-speed chain, shifter and a rear derailleur with enough capacity for the 45T sprocket.
