The Shimano BT-DN110-A is the internal lithium-ion battery that powers Shimano Di2 electronic shifting systems across road, gravel (GRX), and mountain bike platforms. Designed to mount discreetly inside a seatpost or fork steerer tube, it keeps your drivetrain running cleanly with no external clutter — and delivers up to 2,000 km of range on a single charge.

Battery Technology

The BT-DN110-A uses a lithium-ion cell rated at 7.4V and 500 mAh (3.7 Wh). The battery connects to the Di2 system via a single SD50 port, integrating with the E-Tube network alongside junction boxes, derailleurs, and shifters. Charge level is monitored through the E-Tube Project app or compatible Di2 displays.

Compatibility & Fit

Compatible with Shimano E-Tube Di2 systems including Dura-Ace 9000/9100-series, Ultegra 6800-series, GRX Di2, and Deore XT Di2. Not compatible with pre-E-Tube Di2 architectures. Requires the SM-BCR2 charger (sold separately) connected to a USB power source delivering at least 1A. For frames or seatposts without internal battery routing, use with the SM-BTC1 external case (sold separately).
