Shifting Performance
The revised shifting internals borrow robustness from Shimano's mountain bike technology, enabling confident one-finger shifts front and rear even in demanding conditions. The 2x11-speed system works in conjunction with the FD-R7000 front derailleur for lighter front shifting action. Shift cable outer casing is OT-SP41 on the lever side and OT-RS900 on the rear derailleur side.
Braking Control
SLR-EV brake actuation delivers progressive, predictable rim braking, while the extended reach adjustment range of up to 15 mm allows riders to position the lever blade exactly where their fingers are most comfortable. This makes the ST-R7000 suitable for riders with smaller hands as well as those requiring a longer reach.
Compatibility & Fit
Designed for 2x11-speed mechanical rim brake road drivetrains. Compatible with Shimano 105 R7000 groupset components including FD-R7000 front derailleur and 11-speed cassettes. Clamp band diameter: 23.8–24.2 mm (standard road drop bar). Compatible brake calipers: BR-R7000 / BR-R7010. Not compatible with disc brake or electronic (Di2) systems.
