The Safe-Torque A 2 takes 1/4" hex bits directly in the head and slips over at the set torque, so small fasteners can't be overtightened by a heavy hand.

Slip-over, not click

Unlike a click wrench, the Safe-Torque slips over once the set torque is reached, so the fastener can't be overtightened. Set the value with audible and tactile clicks at each scale mark. Torque Lock switches the torque function off so it works as a normal ratchet with high loosening torque and for angle-of-rotation work. After release, the reset angle is only 30°.

Compatibility & fit

Takes bits with a 1/4" hex drive; Wera's 870/1 adaptor lets it take 1/4" square-drive sockets. Check the torque printed on your component; if it falls within 2–12 Nm, this wrench covers it.
