A bolt-on replacement for the proprietary NAILD thru-axle fitted to some Argon 18 (e.g. Gallium Pro Disc) and Marin (e.g. Gestalt) bikes with 12×100mm front hub spacing and a NAILD thru-axle, swapping it for a standard threaded 12mm axle and nut so the wheel comes out with a normal hex key instead of the NAILD tool.

Compatibility & fit

Thru-axle length isn't the same thing as hub spacing – the axle has to be longer than the hub to reach through the dropouts and thread into the frame or fork, so two bikes with the same hub width can still need different axle lengths. Robert Axle Project lists this as a 12×100mm front thru-axle. This axle is a 12mm diameter, front axle with a M12x1.0 thread. It's designed specifically for Argon 18 (e.g. Gallium Pro Disc) and Marin (e.g. Gestalt) bikes with 12×100mm front hub spacing and a NAILD thru-axle. Confirm your exact frame or fork against Robert Axle Project's online Axle Finder before ordering – a wrong axle can work loose or fall out under load. The Tune workshop can also measure your existing axle and fit the new one.

Robert Axle Project backs this axle with a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser, covering defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own it. Misuse, improper installation, failure to follow the instructions, normal wear and tear, and crash or accident damage aren't covered, and a claim needs to be reported within 60 days of a defect showing up. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Robert Axle Project's Australian distributor.
