The Zane gives young cross-country and trail riders properly short cranks on a kids' mountain bike, and Praxis made it to lighten the bike and add premium parts to the build. It is a lightweight forged alloy arm set on the same M30 spindle and direct-mount ring system as Praxis's adult cranks.

Rings and chainline
Any brand's 3-bolt direct-mount ring fits, and its offset sets the chainline: a 0 mm offset ring gives 55 mm, a 3 mm offset ring 52 mm and a 6 mm offset ring 49 mm. Check which chainline the bike's frame calls for.
The Zane is sold as an arm set, so the chainring is separate. Pick a 3-bolt direct-mount ring in the size and offset the bike needs; the ring decides Shimano or SRAM chain compatibility.

Compatibility & fit
Bottom bracket: needs a Praxis M30 bottom bracket (30 mm drive / 28 mm non-drive bearing), sold separately: BSA, BB90/92, T47 external bearing, or BB30/PF30.
Who it suits: Praxis sets no rider weight limit, but designed the Zane for youth and kids' riding.
The Tune Cycles workshop can fit the bottom bracket and crankset for you as a separate workshop service. Threaded shells need the right BB tool and press-fit shells need a proper bearing press, so it pays to have the shell checked and the bottom bracket fitted correctly first. The main crank bolt is torqued to 48–52 Nm with a torque wrench. We can also advise on crank length and ring size for a young rider's bike.
Praxis warrants its components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date, for the original owner with proof of purchase. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (such as chainring tooth wear, worn anodising or coatings, bearing wear and general corrosion), or damage from a crash, impact, abuse, modification, or installation that does not follow Praxis's instructions and tools.
