For cranks with a 24mm steel spindle that steps down to 22mm on the non-drive side: Praxis M24, SRAM GXP and Oval M24. Praxis makes it in threaded, press-fit and BB30/PF30 conversion versions.

Tools by version

The BSA version takes a standard outboard-cup tool with 16 external notches and a 44mm ID (Praxis cites the Park BBT-19.2) and is tightened to 40Nm. The BB30/PF30 versions need a press plus two of those 16-notch tools. The BB86/90/92 version has Delrin cups pressed in with a standard BB press (Praxis cites the Park HHP-3).

Compatibility & fit

For M24/GXP steel spindles only (24mm drive, 22mm non-drive). They won't take Shimano Hollowtech II, SRAM DUB or 30mm spindles. BB86 and the 68mm BB30/PF30 are for road cranks; BB90/92 and the 73mm BB30/PF30 are for MTB cranks. Praxis notes the 73mm BB30/PF30 version isn't compatible with Cannondale BB30a or PF30a frames, and collet versions need a shell clear of internal cable guides or screws. Fitting is a separate workshop service, and the Tune Cycles workshop has the press and tools for each version.

Praxis warrants its bottom brackets to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the original purchase date, to the original owner with proof of purchase. Praxis treats bearings as a wear item, and its steel sealed cartridge bearings carry no separate bearing warranty. Normal wear (bearings, seals, anodising), damage from incorrect installation or the wrong installation or removal tools, crash, impact, abuse and any modification are not covered. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, so keep your proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Praxis's Australian distributor.
