The Hellbender 70 is Cane Creek's workshop-grade bottom bracket, built around a cartridge bearing meant to outlast the frame's own bearing seats. This version threads into a standard BSA shell, the most common bottom bracket standard on road, gravel and mountain bike frames, and comes in a run of anodised colours as well as black.

Beyond black, Cane Creek anodises the BSA Hellbender 70in blue, gold, red, silver, purple, slate and smoke — cosmetic only, with no change to fit or bearing spec.

Compatibility & fit

Fits a standard BSA threaded bottom bracket shell — check this is what your frame takes, as opposed to a T47 or press-fit shell. Choose the spindle size to match your crankset: 24mm, 29mm (SRAM DUB) or 30mm (including Cane Creek eeWings). The Tune Cycles workshop can confirm your shell and spindle size and fit the bracket.
