A valve that sits too low in a deep-section rim leaves the pump head nothing to grip. Granite extenders add length to your existing Presta valve, so you can inflate without hunting for a longer valve.

How they fit

Let the air out and unscrew the valve core with the included tool. Thread the extender onto the valve and snug it down with the tool on the wrench flats, then screw your core into the top and inflate as normal. Granite notes that a wrap of PTFE thread tape gives a reliable airtight seal, especially with sealant inside.

Compatibility & fit

Fits any Presta valve with a removable core, tubeless or tubed; valves with a fixed core will not work. Choose by rim depth: 40 mm suits mid-depth rims, while 60 and 80 mm are for deep aero rims. If in doubt, size up. Our workshop can fit them when setting up your tubeless tyres.
