Why a dedicated tool

A bushing has to go in square and be supported on the right diameter. Pressing on the wrong shoulder with a socket can deform the bushing or the alloy around it, and the axle will run rough no matter how good the new part is. This tool is machined to suit the bushing, stays aligned as you press, and also extracts the old one.

Is it the bushing?

Hold the crank still and rock the pedal body on its axle. A knock or side-to-side play points to the bushing; a gritty feel when you spin the body usually points to the bearing end.

What it doesn't include

The tool comes without parts. For new axle parts, choose the FUNN Pedal Axle Replacement Kit for your pedal model. Our workshop can rebuild your pedals as a separate job.

The 12mm tool suits FUNN Funndamental, Taipan, Taipan S, Mamba and Mamba S pedals. For FUNN Ripper2 and Tactic pedals, choose the 10mm version.
