A creak-free, heavy-duty bottom bracket for BSA threaded frames running a SRAM DUB crankset. The Maxhit bearing is its own cup, machined from 440C stainless and threaded straight into the frame.

How Maxhit works

Most bottom brackets carry their bearings in separate aluminium cups, and every joint between cup, bearing and frame is a place for a creak to start. Maxhit merges bearing and cup into a single 440C stainless component that threads directly into your frame's bottom bracket shell. Dropping the extra cup frees up space for much larger balls, which is where the load capacity comes from.

Preload, servicing and fitting

Because of the oversized balls, Maxhit bottom brackets need a light preload. Some cranksets have a preload system built in; if yours doesn't, or it's made of plastic, use the machined aluminium preload adjuster in the box. The full complement of spacers lets you set chainline precisely.

Enduro asks for an annual service by a qualified mechanic: clean the bearings and re-grease them with Enduro Speed Grease (GR-011) to keep the lifetime warranty. Enduro lists the BRK-BKSM 29 rebuild kit for servicing this bottom bracket.

Our Marrickville workshop can install this bottom bracket and carry out the annual service. Fitting is a separate workshop service and is not included in the price.

Enduro covers Maxhit bottom brackets with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against corrosion, wear and manufacturing defects. Cover depends on an annual service by a qualified mechanic, cleaning and re-greasing the bearings with Enduro Speed Grease (GR-011); skipping it voids the warranty. Damage from dirt intrusion, contamination or improper installation is not covered, and cover applies to the original owner with proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Lusty Industries, Enduro Bearings' Australian distributor.
