Italian thread-in design

This is a complete thread-in bottom bracket that lets you fit 30mm (and 386-type) cranks into an Italian threaded bottom bracket shell. It suits current-spec 30mm spindles of 104mm or longer.

Stainless bearings & seals

This is a complete bottom bracket built around 440C stainless steel balls and races in an angular contact layout. Enduro is upfront that stainless steel carries about 20% less load than its standard 52100 chromium steel and is slightly softer, but it chooses stainless where corrosion is the bigger enemy: wet rides, road salt, sweat, spilled sports drinks and frequent washing. LLB-type seals and a water-resistant grease fill add another layer of protection against the elements.

Fitting & servicing

For installation, Enduro lists its BBT-46x12-30 Pro Cup socket (46mm × 12-spline cups, 30mm-spindle cranks) and BBT-036 flat wrench, with Enduro MAX (GR-009) or Speed (GR-011) grease. For bearing replacement it lists the BRT-060-MH press, the BRT-040-30MM toolkit for 30mm bearings and the BRT-019 removal adapter for BSA and Italian cups.

The 15° angular contact bearings need a light preload for the best adjustment. Some cranksets have a preload system built in; if yours doesn't, or it's plastic, use the machined aluminium preload adjuster in the box, along with the full set of spacers for precise chainline adjustment.

Our workshop can fit it for you as a separate service. Enduro also asks for its stainless bottom bracket bearings to be cleaned and re-greased by a qualified mechanic every six months to keep the warranty valid, and we can look after that too.
