Caffélatex Tubeless Strip Fat makes fat bike tubeless conversions quick and easy with tubeless or tubeless-ready tyres. Each kit converts two wheels and includes two strips and two Caffélatex Tubeless Valves.

Tubeless conversion for awkward rims

Strip isn't adhesive. It's a single piece that relies on its own elasticity to sit tight on the rim, so it works where tape struggles: aluminium rims with a matt finish, very deep channels and pin-joined rims where the join isn't welded. It climbs the rim's inner walls so the seal is made between tyre and Strip, not just over the spoke holes. Fitting is simple: a tubeless valve goes through the Strip and is tightened against the rim, the Strip is stretched on and centred in the channel, then tyre and sealant go in.

Tough and reusable

The polymer resists cuts and punctures, so it isn't damaged by tyre levers the way butyl liners and taped rims can be. It's durable enough to outlast the rim and can be removed and refitted, whether you're moving it to another wheel or replacing a spoke. The included 40mm valves suit rims up to 37mm tall.

Compatibility & fit

Pick the width by rim internal width: Fat S (70mm strip) for 55–60mm, Fat M (85mm) for 70–75mm, Fat L (105mm) for 90–95mm. If you're exactly between two sizes, Effetto recommends the wider one. Effetto Mariposa now recommends Strip Fat for 26" wheels only: stretching it onto 27.5" rims takes uncommon strength and reduces its effective width. You can leave the original fat bike rim strip in place or remove it. Strip won't work on asymmetric rims with an off-centre valve hole. Use only Caffélatex or Végétalex sealant, or Espresso / Espresso Doppio inflate-and-repair cartridges, with Strip: sealants containing ammonia or aggressive chemicals, and aggressive rim cleaners, can damage it. Fitting and set-up are a separate Tune Cycles workshop service and are not included.
