Stiff where it counts

Crankbrothers tunes each Synthesis wheel for its end of the bike. The rear gets more stiffness to absorb peak loads and track at speed, with a narrower 29.5 mm inner width that sharpens the tyre edge for grip. This DH wheel comes in Boost 148 x 12 mm spacing.

Ratchet hub

The Crankbrothers Ratchet hub engages every 10° out of the box. Fit the Crankbrothers 54T Ratchet Upgrade Kit (sold separately) for 6.6° engagement. Crankbrothers offers replacement Ratchet freehub bodies in Shimano HG, HG Road and Micro Spline and SRAM XD and XDR.

Our Marrickville workshop can fit the cassette, rotor and tyre, swap the freehub body if you change drivetrains, and service the hub bearings. Fitting is a separate workshop service and is not included in the price.

Crankbrothers gives the original owner a lifetime warranty on Synthesis Alloy 2.0 rims. It covers manufacturing defects and rim damage from a crash during normal riding, including dents or flat spots that stop the tyre holding air, and cracks or seam separation at the spoke holes. It does not cover normal wear and tear, improper assembly or maintenance, modifications or labour, and the hub and other components carry their own standard manufacturer warranty. Proof of purchase is required and terms can differ by country. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Lusty Industries, Crankbrothers' Australian distributor.
