Synthesis Enduro Alloy 2.0 is Crankbrothers' tuned alloy rim for enduro and aggressive trail riding. The front rim is wider and built for compliance, grip and precise steering through rocks and roots; the rear rim is narrower and built stiff to take impacts and cornering loads. Tuned front and rear

Crankbrothers designs Synthesis as a system rather than a matched pair. The front rim's wider inner width supports a wider tyre profile, adding volume and contact patch for cornering grip. The rear rim's narrower inner width sharpens the tyre's edges and helps rolling resistance, and the rear is built stiffer for stability and tracking at speed.

A tougher alloy rim

Alloy 2.0 is made from 6069 alloy, which Crankbrothers says gives significantly higher tensile, yield, fatigue and shear strength for better resistance to dents and cracks. The surface is shot-peened, hammering it in a controlled way to create a hardened outer layer that resists cracking, and the reinforced profile thickens the rim walls in the areas most exposed to impacts.

Each option is a single rim for one position. Width, hole count, ERD and weight depend on the position and wheel size, as published by Crankbrothers.

Compatibility & fit

This is a rim only. It is not laced, and the hub, spokes and nipples are separate. Front rims are drilled 28 hole and rear rims 32 hole, so pick the rim that matches its position and your hub's hole count. Crankbrothers' Alloy 2.0 rim chart lists a 2.2in to 2.6in tyre range for the Enduro rim, front and rear, and Crankbrothers wheels are for disc brakes only.

Our workshop builds wheels and can lace this rim to your hub, working from Crankbrothers' published ERD for your size. Wheel building is a separate workshop service and is not included in the price.
