The Mallet Enduro wraps Crankbrothers' 4-sided clip-in mechanism in a concave platform that meets your shoe's outsole, for a supportive feel on the way down that is still light enough for the climb back up.

Sized between Trail and DH

The platform sits between the Mallet Trail and Mallet DH in size. At its core is the signature 4-sided clip-in system, which rotates independently of the body for easy entry and exit and sheds mud and debris through its open design. Each aluminium body is machined at the front lower corner so rock strikes deflect off the pedal.

Premium internals

A chromoly spindle, Enduro MAX cartridge bearings, Igus composite bearings and the Double Seal System keep it turning smoothly. Crankbrothers designed the Mallet Enduro to be easy to service at home with no special tools, and sets no rider weight limit.

Cleats & float

The supplied Standard Release cleats give 6° of float with a 15° or 20° release angle, depending on how they are fitted. Crankbrothers also offers Easy Release cleats with a more forgiving 10° release. Crankbrothers does not approve third-party cleats with its pedals: using them can shorten pedal life and voids the pedal warranty.

Compatibility & fit

Crankbrothers pedals take Crankbrothers cleats only; SPD cleats won't work. Any MTB or gravel shoe with a recessed two-hole cleat box is compatible, and Crankbrothers notes that third-party shoes may need shims or traction pads to fine-tune the shoe-to-pedal interface. Pedals are left- and right-side specific: the left spindle has a grooved flange and the right a flat one. Installation needs an 8mm hex wrench and grease.

Crankbrothers recommends a seasonal re-grease of the internals, with refresh kits (new bearings, seals and hardware) available for a full overhaul, and advises against pressure-washing at close range.
