4.5 degrees of float gives your heel a small amount of side-to-side movement before the cleat releases, which many riders find easier on the knees. Line the new cleats up with the marks left by the old ones, tighten the bolts properly and recheck them after the first ride.

They're made for Shimano SPD-SL compatible pedals. Cleats from different pedal systems don't interchange, so match the cleat to your pedals before ordering.
