A tired PowerTube means shorter rides and more range anxiety. This is the genuine Bosch PowerTube 500 replacement for Bosch eBike System 2 bikes, the generation before the Smart System, and it slots into the frame just like the original.

Match your frame and system
Horizontal and Vertical PowerTubes are not interchangeable: the bike maker chooses one to suit the frame. Check the type code on your current battery's label (BBP280 or BBP281) and order the same. This battery is for Bosch eBike System 2 only. Bosch confirms System 2 and Smart System components are not compatible with each other.

Compatibility & fit
Fits eBike System 2 frames designed for the PowerTube 500 in the matching orientation. Charge only with an original Bosch charger. If you're unsure which battery your bike takes, bring it in or send us the label details. Fitting is a separate workshop service by Tune Cycles and is not included in the price.
This genuine Bosch battery is covered by the Bosch eBike Systems warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, on terms set by Bosch (Bosch sets battery-specific terms), in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Bosch notes that every lithium-ion battery gradually loses capacity as it ages. If there is a problem, return the battery to Tune Cycles with proof of purchase and we'll manage the claim.
