The Bikefitting.com UCI Measuring Jig is the official tool used by UCI Commissaires to verify that time trial and track bikes meet current UCI regulations. How It Works

The jig uses a laser box to measure the bike's angles and geometry at the bottom bracket. Two cone-shaped pegs locate into the centre of the cranks, anchoring all measurements to the bottom bracket spindle. The onboard algorithm then evaluates the rider's setup against current UCI rules and displays a colour indication of compliance — along with the precise degree of variation where required.

What It Measures

The UCI Measuring Jig assesses the primary positional regulations enforced at UCI-sanctioned events:

• Saddle setback: confirms the saddle peak is positioned at least 5 cm to the rear of a vertical plane through the bottom bracket spindle.
• Handlebar reach: confirms the distance from the bottom bracket vertical line to the handlebar extremity does not exceed 75 cm.

Six UCI compliance parameters are assessed in total during a single rapid check.
