Abbey's suspension top cap sockets are machined from billet aluminium with zero lead-in, so they grip the low-profile hex on a fork top cap without rounding it out the way a standard socket can.

Highlights

  • Zero lead-in, CNC-machined from billet aluminium
  • 3/8 in square drive for a ratchet or torque wrench
  • Finger splines for running the top cap in by hand
  • Short 25 mm (1 in) length to reduce cam-off risk under torque
  • Made in Bend, Oregon, USA

Purpose-built for suspension service

Standard sockets have a lead-in chamfer that reduces contact with a fork top cap's hex and can scratch or deform it; Abbey machined these with zero lead-in specifically to avoid that.

Compatibility & fit

Fits 30mm suspension fork top caps taking a 3/8 in square drive. SCV/Abbey describe the range as suiting most modern suspension forks but don't name specific fork models for each size — check your fork's top cap hex size before ordering.
